Thanks to parishioner Rod Phillips we have these wonderful photos to enjoy of our Parish Picnic last Sunday. Rod is continuing and building on the photographic record of our parish life begun by our late parishioner Paul Eldridge in 2008.

I want to express an especial thanks to our parish secretary Margie Bibbo, who was the master planner and organizer for this event once more, and to our parish religious education co-ordinators Jean Johnson and Patti Strom for all of their work together with Margie to “make it happen”. Special thanks its also due to Neil Steinkraus and his sons who brought their own grill and worked it tirelessly to provide us all with the most delicious grilled meats for our barbecue.

About Our Parish

Mary Immaculate of Lourdes is Newton and Needham Massachusetts's oldest Roman Catholic Parish. Founded as Saint Mary's Parish in 1870 it was renamed "Mary Immaculate of Lourdes" when the new Church was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day, 1910. In addition to being a regular territorial parish of the Archdiocese of Boston it is also a "Mission Parish" since 2007 with a special apostolate for the Traditional Latin Mass (1962 Missal).
